At Data Koncepts, we have worked hard on web sites for our clients - to meet the client's needs and preferences. Visit our client's pages and leave them a message!

Client-updated (dynamic) websites

Most people want a direct hand in updating their websites but lack the specific knowledge to do so. Client activity ranges from minor updates on a page or two to entire websites dynamically displayed from the client's dedicated database:

Wilderness-Wally

Almost completely database-driven, this website is a showcase for using a title (vs record id) pulled from a database for the URL then redirected to a common script for implementation. Wilderness-Wally (Wally is a bard who came on the scene with his stories a couple hundred years late) is an American living in New Zealand who updates his website FREQUENTLY using a custom-built backend to manage ... everything (including the placement and ordering of the TOC's 'sitemap' listing)! Full of useful, relevant and often irreverent information about current events and his family's history, it's tongue-in-cheek manner is highly entertaining!

Pennsylvania Townhall

With all the articles extracted from the client's database, this client updates this site with input from many sources via his custom 'backend.' PA Townhall's website is the voice of concerned Pennsylvanians about taxes, schooling, business and more.

Neighbourhood Support - Auckland

This massive website primarily serves the Auckland District with its many features being extracted from a database (client-updated via a custom 'backend'). The four alert tables use NZ Police information to inform NSAkl members what criminals are doing in their neighbourhoods: Urgent notices, crime reports, stolen vehicles (available via cellphone in WAP format) and school alerts cover the broad spectrum and NSAkl's articles and newsletters offer crime fighting tips. Coming features include a communities-based forum and video presentations.

Rodney's Neighbourhood Support website is also a client-updated (database-powered via a custom 'backend') website serving the northern Auckland region with their own database (similar to NSAkl above).

A dynamic website (with a limited 'backend'), it's purpose is to remind those in Pennsylvania's Dauphin County of the conservative values which made the US great!

Bathroom Online

Another client-updated (database) website, BathroomOnline focuses on quality New Zealand bathroom products and bathroom fittings.

An HTML website with only a bit of client updating (via custom 'backend'), Jeevez provides bathroom installations and upgrades across the Auckland area.

Poolside North Shore

A dynamic website, there is limited client-updating of this website (via custom 'backend'), primarily on its Specials page. This Albany-based company provides pool equipment, chemicals and services to Auckland's North Shore area.

With the higher-speed communications of today, these clients are providing either (or both) videos and audio files (Internet radio). The audio files are client-updated on a weekly basis:

Pennsylvania Leadership Conference

This website describes their annual conference (agenda and participants) and uses its database to register attendees at their yearly conference (using a secure script and a payment gateway). They also use Data Koncepts' custom-built 'viewer' to display videos of the past conference speakers and panels, a terrific feature for those unable to attend or who need to 're-live the experience.'

Pa Leadership Conference also incorporates online registration via a secure server with a payment gateway (Authorize.net) to enable conference registrations and provides the management with an Excel spreadsheet of the registered attendees.

Using a database to automatically build playlists (upon the client entering his weekly updates using a custom 'backend'), this website provides weekly radio programs (mp3 files) to registered radio stations and streaming downloads to website visitors.

(Mostly) Static Websites

Because Data Koncepts started with efficient (fast) static (HTML) websites, we have a number of websites which have received only minor updates (dynamic treatments for current time of day, online payments, tide times, etc.) but they're basically static websites:

The "granddaddy," MBO takes a look at New Zealand's favourite vacation destination via fast, efficient HTML code. Data Koncepts' enhancements to tell visitors the correct time in NZ as well as the week's low tide times at world famous 'Hot Water Beach.'

The Bone Studio and Gallery

One of "the originals," Carving Unlimited is an HTML website with only a few (dynamic and secure) enhancements. It's a bone, ebony and jade (pounamu) carver's website who offers a carve-your-own experience along with a gallery of the various forms of New Zealand carving including bone, whalebone, ebony, jade, wood (traditional Maori, contemporary and "chainsaw"), semi-precious stones – even native punga!

Lincoln Institute

Another of "the originals," Lincoln Institute's HTML website has been enhanced with dynamic code to add some limited dynamic effects (primarily, to provide short audio files) and provides a single "backend" for this client's other websites. Lincoln Institute researches and reports on Public Opinion in the Keystone State: Pennsylvania.

Lincoln Institute has recently added a payment gateway (PayPal) for donations; critical in these days of tight budgets and sustaining revenues coming from philantrophic sources, this allows credit card donations one time or short period "subscriptions."

Bresley Shoes

While created as a dynamic website, the sole benefit (other than to replicate a template) is to link to a contact form with pre-entered data. This website offers stylish footwear for the modern woman.

Pitbull Footwear

Another dynamic website, it "reads" the contents of image directories and selects the images to display. Dangerous Footwear is all about rugged footwear for modern men and women!

DataCards

This is an HTML website with dynamic code only on the request sample page. It's 'magic' comes from the use of JavaScript to assist the navigation. DataCards are a 21^st Century direct marketing tool to enhance any professional promotion

Auntie Dawns Place

Despite the dynamic coding, this is an HTML website (except for the sharing of the Hot Water Beach tide database at Mercury Bay Online). Hot Water Beach is a beautiful surf beach where hot water bubbles up in the sand! Auntie Dawns Place is only 150 metres from the sea so you'll hear the gentle noise of the waves in the background of native bird calls.
